Life is getting pretty hectic at the moment as it draws closer to the end of the semester and all the applications and documentations for next year need to be completed on the ASAP. On top of that, I still work six days a week. It’s safe to say I have a lot more on my plate than I can handle (but handle it, i shall)!
In Spanish we’ve learnt an additional two ‘rules’ I guess, or conjugations which I think need not be learnt cause I swear, they sound (and mean) exactly like the ones we previously learnt. It’s all going in one ear and out the other! (Spanish tutor available? I’ll pay with mi amor y apreciación!) I have a writing task, oral presentation and final exam coming up in the next three weeks *cries*. To make things even better, the profesoras thought it would be a good idea (which it probably is.. but not right now) to pair us up with a student from a university either in Spain or South America and hold a conversation with them via Skype; this must be audio recorded and a diary must be written up about the experience. And yes, this is formally assessed. We must contact our partner, figure out a suitable day and time and record our conversation. I know it sounds pretty beneficial in terms of practicing our Spanish and all BUT I just don’t think they’ve grasped the realidad that: 1. There are insane time differences to deal with 2. Students overseas have their own uni dramas to handle 3. Spanish is not the only subject we do (aka other subjects are demanding as well!) 4. We have our final exam on during the same week. I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR THIS! *rant over*
It seems that mi pareja doesn’t either, cause it’s currently 6 days and 2 emails later and I still haven’t heard back from them.. Bueno.
It’s alright guys, this will all pay off soon. As the good student I am, instead of focussing on mis estudios, I’m on here typing up this pointless post which I’m sure none of you are going to read, whilst simultaneously planning my despedidas. Priorities sorted I think.
I swear you’ll see more interesting content up on here in the very near future!
Til my next post,
Besos para ti xx
